Who are we?
The Heritage Connection is led by Trizia Wells, a freelance heritage consultant whose drive is to help organisations develop innovative ways of helping communities engage with the history on their doorstep.
A decade working with museum settings, archives and HLF/Arts council projects has enabled Trizia to build connections with film makers, writers, digital technologists, early years specialists, landscape managers, and archivists to bring heritage to life. A teacher for many years, Trizia has first-hand experience of engaging a wide range of audiences with their heritage – including not only schools, but families, disabled people and those with dementia or memory loss.
Trizia also sits on Visit England’s Inclusive Tourism Action Group which drives accessible tourism across the UK and writes on a range of disability issues in local, national and international publications.
The Heritage Connection can support your heritage project at every stage, from bid writing, through project management to delivery. We’ll undertake research and historic interpretation, we’ll consult with your audiences, run engaging activities with them and evaluate your outcomes. You can call on our resources for any part of your project – or we’ll manage it for you.
